MAC Primer Saved the Day

Jamaica, in the "dry season" seems to have 90% humidity. So Jamaica in the middle of a tropical storm was seemingly 100% humidity. What was I to do? With hundreds of dollars invested in brand new make-up for my special day, it seemed a waste to put it on and have it melt right off.
Luckily, having been to Jamaica many times before, I knew about the humidity beforehand and mentioned my make-up delima to anyone I thought might have a solution.

Let's back up for a second. In reality, I didn't even want to wear much make up. I don't in everyday life and didn't see the need to for my wedding. It was at the urging of my photo-saavy friends that I splurged on a make-up make-over. The natural shades of make-up I usually wear would never show up in photos, so I was told.

Anyway, after a few weeks of make-up melt concern I was told about a fabulous product: MAC Primer. I rushed to my local Bloomingdales and scooped up a tube. It was a pretty tube too - sparkley silver glitter set in shiny black plastic. (I am a sucker for all product marketing tactics.) So, each week for the 4 weeks prior to the weeding, I stole an evening for myself, locking the bathroom door, and practiced applying the primer underneath all my new make-up. It seemed to hold-up well in the Florida humidity so I could only hope for the best in Jamaica. In the end, the shiny black tube of primer exceeded my expectations so here's the plug: If you are getting married in the tropics - don't go without MAC Primer... It rocks!
