Glass Bottle Table Numbers

This is such a simple DIY project for adorable table numbers! They would look even more sweet paired with some simple and colorful wildflowers. All you really need are some stencils and black craft paint, but you can find all the details over at Savvy City Farmer.

Handwritten Paper Goods

There is something so charming about handmade goods, and these adorable paper goods Chelsea Fuss created for Project Wedding are no exception! I of course love the color palette, but that fork stamp (which you can find right here) is seriously too cute.

Rustic DIY Projects

I was recently reminded that its been nearly a year since I created a series of DIY Projects for Utterly Engaged. Since a lot of you might not have been reading last year, I thought this would be the perfect time to share it again here! There are links to some templates below, but if you have any questions feel free to ask...

To be honest, I was more than a little excited when the lovely ladies of Utterly Engaged asked me to contribute to their latest issue. They have done such a beautiful job with the online magazine, and I am thrilled to be a part of it! You can find their newest issue right here (my DIY article starts on Page 18). And if you haven't been to their site yet, be sure to take a look at the first issue as well.

The theme for the current issue is "Natural Elements" so I tried to create projects along those lines. All three projects are pictured here - Wrapped Candle Holders, Napkin Rings and Bride & Groom Wreaths - but you can see all the instructions and many more pictures in Utterly Engaged. And I made the wood grain pattern for the candle holders and the Bride & Groom signs for the wreaths available to download for free - you can find them right here!

Unique Centerpieces

How amazing is this idea? Kelly of Yes, Please took ordinary cinder blocks and turned them into gorgeous planters (with a built in table number to boot). I am pretty sure an entire wedding could be designed around these images alone!

Real Wedding: Winter Park, Florida

Dayna and Ian's wedding is such a perfect way to start off the week - you are going to love all the DIY details! The bride and groom are both so stylish and they each infused their personalities into the event in different and meaningful ways. Dayna personally purchased or made nearly every detail herself, relying heavily on Etsy, Craigslist, thrifting and local antique shops. I love that so many of her details can be achieved on a budget - the ladders and lighting for the ceremony, the hand sewn table numbers and the adorable table assignments (hanging on an old window, nonetheless)!

Ian is wearing his father's suit from the 70's that he had altered for the wedding. And since he brews beer as a hobby, he also created a few different ales for the wedding (that is the large white box with the taps you see pictured below). The couple gave out CD's in personalized covers as favors and I think it is lovely how they carried the theme of "You & Me, It's Love" throughout the event.

DIY Project: Braided Bead Necklace

My apologies for the lack of posting yesterday - these last few weeks seem determined to kick my butt! So while I regroup and get a little rest, take a look at this adorable DIY project from ECAB {via Darling Dexter}. This bead necklace would make such a sweet gift for your bridesmaids and would certainly fit within any budget! And even if you are challenged in the craft making department, as long as you can string beads and braid you've got this one in the bag.

DIY Project: Cupcake in a Jar

This project is so adorable (and looks so tasty) I could hardly wait to share it with you! I think just about anything in a mason jar is instantly charming, but red velvet cupcakes? Such a lovely idea. The spoons tied to the jar with bakers twine is really a finishing touch and I am pretty sure these would be perfect for showers, wedding favors, even hostess gifts. You can find all the instructions and many more pictures on the fabulous cakies blog. And as the stickers say - enjoy!

DIY Project: Used Book Wreath

I know this idea will be a painful one for a lot of book lovers, but I think its such a fabulous project! The talented Lindsay of Living With Lindsay posted the tutorial for these paper wreaths after seeing them at a garage sale, but if you aren't feeling very crafty she also sells them in her Etsy Store! These would be adorable hanging on the doors of a church, or maybe even a smaller version on the back of the bride & groom's chairs at the reception. And as Lindsay clearly proves, they will look lovely hanging in your house after the wedding! {Found via Creature Comforts}

Hand Painted Teacups

This hand painted teacup tutorial on Etsy is such a cute idea! It would be a great way to personalize a gift for your tea (or coffee) loving bridesmaids, and it could even make a really fun shower activity. The paint has to dry for 24 hours, but if each guest painted a cup and saucer for the bride and groom, they would be all set!

DIY Project: Wax Decorations

This is such a creative idea from Mitsy at Artmind {via Poppytalk}. You can see all the steps right here, but essentially with some cookie cutters and melted wax, you can create different shapes fairly easily to use in a variety of ways. As soon as I saw the picture below I thought these would make a great idea for escort "cards."

If you made them a little bigger, it would be easy to affix a sticker (or piece of paper of some sort) to the front with a name and table number. Maybe if you stuck it on there before the wax completely dried? Or if you had a smaller wedding you could get a series of smaller trees (one for each table) and only add each guests name to the wax flower, so they could keep it to use as an ornament in the future. What do you think?

DIY Doily Canvas Tote

An absolutely brilliant way to customize a plain tote, from Ashley Ann Photography. She took a doily and used it as a stencil, then added in a monogram. Genius! You can read the full instructions (and see more gorgeous photos) on Ashley's blog. {Found via Design*Sponge}
