Crystal Blue Wedding Studio - Cayman Islands

Crystal Blue Wedding Studio is an online bridal salon showcasing everything you need to know to get stated planning your Destination Wedding in the Cayman Islands. All of the vendors profiled are hand-selected by the site's founder, Danielle Cococcia. Danielle has worked in the wedding market locally in Grand Cayman for many years and decided to put her experience online with Crystal Blue Wedding Studio.

My favorite area of her website is the blog-style home page featuring photos from many of the real weddings she has worked on:

Danielle also applies her talent to putting together Destination Wedding fashion ideas such as:

Friday Destination Wedding Inspiration

Wow! I didn't realize that its been two whole weeks since I posted on this little blog. It's peak wedding season in the Caribbean so I've been busy assisting clients with their travel to/from the region to attend some amazing weddings. I hope to have a few photos to share with you soon.

Check out this Destination Wedding at Round Hill in Jamaica by DC area Wedding Planner Lesley Cohen:

Considering Jamaica for your own Destination Wedding? The island's tourist board has a great website dedicated to all things weddings:

This ice cream social would make a perfect bridal shower theme:

 {We have to ask... are ice cream buffets the new candy buffets?}

Have a fun & safe weekend!

Trinidad Wedding Planner

Trinidad is often off the radar for Caribbean vacationers unless it is Carnival Time. But the island shouldn't be crossed off immediately for Destination Wedding considerations. It is a lovely spirited island with a little sister island {Tobago) that is truly a gem.

I've heard of a great wedding planner located on the island and found here Isle Do.

These beautiful photos are from Isle Do too... just lovely, aren't they?

So add Trinidad to your list for a truly unique location!

Enjoy,

Marry Me St. Maarten

I spent some time in St. Maarten last week at the Westin Dawn Beach. It is an absolutely lovely property and I'll be posting my photos soon. While there, I met with the hotel's sales managers to discuss their Destination Wedding business. One of the largest obstacles for couples wanting to marry on St. Maarten has always been the legal paperwork process. However, this should no longer be an issue because there is a fairly new company on the island who will handle all of the legal info! They are Marry-Me St. Maarten and an invaluable resources for brides considering St. Maarten as their destination... read the full legal details right here.

St. Maarten is a great destination choice if you have guests coming from many different parts of the US or Canada as they are plenty of flight options. There are even many cheap flights from Europe!

Once you've decided on St. Maarten, be sure an email me for group hotel rates for your wedding guests! Laura @ CaribbeanJourney.com.

Meet MyWedding.com!

I was recently introduced to MyWedding.com. I love this site! It has a great look and is easy to navigate. In fact, it is perfect in every way except perhaps lacking in the Destination Wedding department. Destination Brides could use the site for a free wedding homepage - some of the neatest designs I've seen - and to source photographers willing to travel to their Destination Wedding locale. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Bahamas Bridal Association

If you are planning on getting married in the Bahamas, contacting the Bahamas Bridal Association is a great idea! The Association is comprised of many of the island nation's top locally based wedding planners. While a travel agent like myself is best to arrange your travel plans, a local planner is often needed to pull together all of the small details. A skilled wedding planner will oversea your event and make sure it runs smooth... we all know there is simply no room for error or stress on your wedding day! Visit their website for great resources such as legal requirements in the Bahamas and a list of available vendors.
