Real Wedding - Milwaukee, WI Part wo

Welcome back to Michael and Katherine's beautiful wedding, shot by the talented Anna Page. The reception took place at the Turner Ballroom in Milwaukee, which has actually survived two fires and gone under major renovations. Michael really wanted a venue that didn't include flowered wallpaper and was a little more non-traditional, and this definitely fit the bill.

To find all the milk glass Katherine and her Mom scoured antique stores, rummage sales and thrift stores from Chicago to Milwaukee, and even as far as Ohio and Wisconsin. Katherine says that it was actually one of her favorite parts of planning the wedding - a family project of sorts! Katherine's father passed away when she was young, so she and Michael both did a "Mother's dance" at the reception. They danced with their moms at the same time, while Katherine's youngest brother played guitar and her older sister sang "Songbird" by Eva Cassidy. You'll see the emotional picture below - I tear up each time I've looked at it.

Huge congrats to you, Michael and Katherine! You can see more photos from the day on Anna Page's blog, right here. Are you interested in submitting your wedding to be featured on the blog? Just shoot me an email!
