Real Wedding: Santa Monica, California

You're going to love Lauren & Parker's wedding! Not because they are cute enough to take home and put on your shelf (even though they are) but because their day was full of DIY details and so much happiness you can feel it resonating through their photos. Lauren is a friend of my cousin, so I was able to talk to her during her planning process and could feel her happiness all the way from California. She created the fabulous welcome sign herself, from scrap wood found in her alley, and wrote on it free hand with white paint (yes, really). For the escort cards, Lauren found three mis-matched frames at yard sales and thrift stores, and filled them with fabric covered foam board. She then bought tags from a craft store and then printed off all the guests' names onto brown Kraft paper. She and Parker then spent some "tedious time" ripping out each name, to look less perfect than cutting them out. I would have never thought to tear the paper, but it is such a great result! The bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses in the same shade, and the groomsmen looked dapper in their grey suits and matching ties. All around an adorable event!
